To begin your journey at CFCC, please follow the steps outlined below. All necessary forms are available in Enrollment Services, Building L1. You may also download the getting started sheet for printout.

Step 1. Application:

Submit your application (downloadable online) with a one-time nonrefundable $20 fee. Please be sure to fill out the application completely, including the residency section.  Applicants under the age of 24 will require PARENTS’ RESIDENCY INFORMATION.  Deadline for submitting the application for summer A is May 2, and summer B, June 19.

Step 2. Financial Aid:

(If you do not need financial aid, move to step 3.)

To apply for financial aid, go to our Web site, www.cf.edu, click on “Prospective Students,” then click on “Financial Aid” and follow the instructions provided. To obtain the best results apply early.  For fall registration complete all of the steps by July 1. Spring registration complete all of the steps by Nov. 1 and summer registration complete all of the steps by March 1.  You must apply each academic year (fall through summer) if you wish to be considered for financial aid.  If you would like assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), please contact Becca York in the Educational Opportunity Center located near the Welcome Center, L2 , room 112D or call  352-746-6721, ext. 6147.

Step 3. Transcripts:

Have your high school or GED center and each college you have attended send an OFFICIAL transcript to: Central Florida Community College, P.O. Box 1388, Ocala, FL 34478, “Attention Admissions and Records.”  Each transcript MUST arrive UNOPENED or must be mailed directly from your school(s) to CFCC.  Missing transcripts will block registration and put a hold on the financial aid process.

Step 4. Placement Testing:

Degree seeking and college credit certificate students may submit ACT and SAT test scores (please provide documentation from testing agency).  ONLY SCORES WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS ARE CONSIDERED VALID.  If you do not already have test scores, you may take the Computerized Placement Test (CPT) at CFCC.  For specifics on CPT testing, please see "How to sign up for the CPT".  VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE seeking students contact Bill Schaeffer at ext. 1521 for testing requirements.

Step 6. Fees:

Payment is required within 10 business days of the day you register.  All fees are due in full by the first day of class. *Nonpayment will result in your courses being dropped from your schedule.  Re-registration will be on a space-available basis.  Students who have not registered and paid for courses prior to close of business on May 7 will be blocked from registration for the summer A semester.
