Services for Faculty & Staff
Collection Development
Supporting academic development is one of the primary goals of the LRC. Faculty are invited to review materials on hand in the LRC in their discipline, and alsto to request materials that they would recommend be added to the collection by filling out this form and returning it to the LRC.
Library Instruction
The LRC encourages faculty to introduce their students to the library and its resources. Faculty may schedule times to bring their classes into the library for general instruction or to work on specific assignments. Instructors must schedule class visits with the LRC staff as resources and facilities are limited.
Faculty Reserves
Instructors may place materials that they wish to make available to their classes on Faculty Reserve. In order to place materials on Reserve, contact one of the librarians at your campus library.
Classroom Technology
Each CFCC Classroom is equipped with computer and audio-visual equipment. The LRC offers back-up and additional equipment such as an "ELMO" visual presentation projector for checkout to faculty. LRC staff may also be called upon as first responders for troubleshooting of classroom equipment problems or for operator assistance.
Teleconferencing Equipment
Teleconferencing equipment is available in the Welcome Center, building 2 room 112A. The LRC staff can ensure that the equipment is ready for faculty to sit in on meetings in Ocala which are available through that equipment. Scheduling of the conference room in L2 must be requested through Justine Hausheer.
