Library facilities at the Citrus County Campus Learning Resource Center are located in Building L2, room 202 and include 6,864 square feet, 10,432 volumes, 1,202 audiovisual resources and 17 periodical subscriptions. Seating is available to 111 students with tables, study carrels, desks, a reading area and 19 networked computers stations are available. The Citrus LRC houses the David E. Walker special collection, which includes Florida environmental materials. Community outreach is especially important at the Citrus Campus and the library partners with the Citrus County History Museum, the Citrus County School Board and the Citrus County Public Library system to promote reading and literacy.

Material Checkout Information

  • Borrowers must have a current CFCC ID card to check out materials.
  • Books are checked out for a period of 3 weeks
  • Audio, video, DVD and CD recordings are checked out for 3 days
  • Magazine back issues and college catalogs are checked out for 3 days
  • Faculty reserve materials are made available as requested by instructors

Note:  Keeping materials past their due date may restrict a student's access to online resources, prevent requests for Interlibrary loan, disallow checkout of additional materials, and stop loan renewals of currently borrowed materials. A hold will also be placed on your CFCC Student Account barring registration, transcript requests or viewing of grades.

CFCC ID Card

CFCC photo IDs are required to check out books and to use other campus services.  These IDs may be obtained from the security office housed inside the LRC.   ID cards are issued free of charge to CFCC and University Center credit students, faculty, and staff as well as to CFCC alumni and others upon presentation of valid documentation.  Citrus, Levy, and Marion county residents may be issued a community borrower's card for $10, which entitles them to limited borrowing privileges for one year at CFCC libraries.

Reference Desk
An experienced librarian or senior library staff member is always willing to answer questions and guide guests in finding what they need.  The LRC staff is dedicated to teaching library users research skills so that they may more effectively explore and utilize all resources on their own. You may reach us by calling 352-746-6721 x6119 or by e-mailing us at citruslb@cf.edu.

Email & Ask A Librarian
You can also email the Reference Desk with a question and receive an answer back by email. You can do this through Ask-A-Librarian, or by writing directly to library@cf.edu at the Ocala campus, or to citruslb@cf.edu at the Citrus campus.

Citation Styles
Print versions of the MLA Citation Style and the APA Citation Style handouts are available at the Reference Desk. For more information on the MLA citation style, check out this PowerPoint presentation, complete with a quiz at the end.
